Mary J. Martin passed away on April 12, 2012 at the age of 88. She was born on June 24, 1923 in Dugger, Indiana to Nathen and Ida Taylor Ringo. Mary is preceded in death by her parents: husband, Maj. Gen. Sherman F. Martin: son, CAPT Douglas Kent Martin: brother, Basil N. Ringo: survived by her sons Scott Martin, and his wife Amy, and Randall Martin, and his wife Billie: daughter-in-law Karen Martin: grandchildren, Heather Rosenthal, her husband Zebulun: and great granddaughter Kaitlyn Rosenthal: sister-in-law, Essie Ringo and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at the Army Residence Community Chapel in San Antonio, TX on April 20, 2012. In lieu of flowers, Donations were made to Meals on Wheels.
