LAURA DAY AND CORTEZ BROWN HISTORY

Cortez Brown came to Lincoln Co. WA in 1902. He liked what he saw and returned to Missouri and on February 3 1903 he moved his family to Harrington WA. He operated a stage line between Davenport and Harrington, first with a team of horses, then a car. He farmed until 1929. He was superior court bailiff at Davenport, Lincoln Co., Washington, for fifteen years.

Laura and Cortez became members of the Harrington Presbyterian church in 1909. Laura was ill eight months prior to her death.
